US Air Force Departmental Publishing Office Wins Excellence in Government Award
Victoria, BC - September 12, 2003 - The Air Force Departmental Publishing Office received one of the first annual Excellence in Enterprise Architecture awards from E-Gov, under the category of government transformation. The award for excellence in government was accepted by the Air Force at a ceremony held today in Washington, DC as part of the Enterprise Architecture 2003 Conference.
The Air Force received the award for its work modernizing its paper and digital forms into state of the art secure XML e-forms, called Information Management Tools. "PureEdge would like to congratulate the Air Force on winning this award for their innovative best practices in using and implementing technology," said Mark Upson, President and CEO, PureEdge Solutions. The Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Awards were founded to recognize innovative best practices in developing and implementing a successful Enterprise Architecture. E-Gov, Federal Computer Week, FEAC Institute, and the Enterprise Architecture Program Advisory Board sponsor the awards. The forms modernization program is part of the Air Force Departmental Publishing Office`s Content Management Program, which has resulted in a significant leap forward in terms of how services are delivered to employees, while streamlining both business processes and operations. The 700,000 + customers for this project are those military and civilian men and women supporting the Air Force mission around the world.
